Why FirmRanker preserves the original AI answer
The original AI response is the evidence. FirmRanker stores it unchanged and never silently rewrites it after collection.
Evidence and interpretation are separate layers
Extraction, entity resolution, treatment classification and analysis are all interpretations of the raw answer. If any of them is wrong, the correction is applied to that layer — and logged — while the original observation stays as it was.
Why it matters
- Auditability — Any finding can be checked against the answer that supports it.
- Future re-analysis — Improved methods can be re-run over historical evidence.
- Disputes — If a firm questions a result, the original answer is available.
- Classifier improvement — Machine outputs can be compared with human review on fixed evidence.
- Historical evidence — Change over time is measured against unaltered records.
