FirmRanker Score (FRS) Methodology
The FirmRanker Score is a transparent 0–100 score for every published US law firm, derived only from verified Google Reviews and the firm's attorney count.
Formula
- Review Density — 40%: Number of Google reviews divided by the firm's attorney count. Rewards firms whose clients consistently leave feedback per lawyer.
- Average Rating — 35%: Mean Google star rating, normalized to 0–100.
- Review Volume — 15%: Total verified review count, log-scaled so a 1,000-review firm isn't 100× a 10-review firm.
- Recency — 10%: Share of reviews from the past 12 months.
Eligibility
A firm must have a Google Place ID, at least 5 verified Google reviews, and a published FirmRanker profile to be eligible for ranking.
Excluded Platforms
Avvo and Justia are explicitly excluded as review sources. Only Google Reviews count toward the FRS.
